Mantle of God's Order

As I sat on the beach of a mountain lake last week talking with the Lord, a small fox came onto the sand just a few feet away from me. He paused in his step and we sat staring at each other. He stayed for a short while and then walked back into the trees. At the end of my time on the beach that morning, I got up to leave and some mountain blue jays flew directly in front of me in descent from a tall pine (there was significance in this from a previous experience with Father God). I lingered in this moment as I watched them and enjoyed the love of my Father. My heart was full of gratitude to our good Father, Daddy God, for this gift of set-apart time and these “kisses” from Heaven.

Later, as I was thinking about these moments and again talking with the Lord, Matthew 8:20 came to me:

And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

I am aware that this passage speaks about the cost of following Jesus, but Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see another layer of this scripture that I had not see before. My heart felt the deep yearning of the Lord to be among us and with us. My heart ached for Him...


With tears, I found myself patting my chest where my heart is and saying, "Lord, You can lay Your head here...You can find Your resting place here. You can make Your home here. Your dwelling place here..." 

And then these words came…

“A people is being restored to the Lord. The Lord is being restored in a people.”

These are they who have His Name written on their foreheads, and whose names are engraved in the palm of His hand. He is their God, and they are His people. They are laying down their cloaks of self and allowing Him to clothe them with His order.  

This brings me to the final word in this series on “Order” & “New” that I thank the Lord for the privilege of sharing as we come into the new year according to Father’s timeline on Rosh Hashanah (the year 5779 on September 9^th). I thank Holy Spirit for His timing and for His perfect work that allows us to find ourselves hid with Christ in God and aligned with His heart.

Mantle of God's Order

Journal Entry  1-9-18 

With Father’s order comes purpose and intention.

“Thank You Father for Your order…that Your people, both individually and corporately, will have hearts to receive the order that You are bringing. Thank You for preparing our hearts to receive Your order that will bring order and purpose to our lives, and all You’ve called us to.

With Your order comes peace and fruitfulness.

For Love’s sake, You bring order.

For Your Name’s sake, You bring order.

For Your Kingdom’s sake, You bring order.

For Your people’s sake, You bring order.

For Your purpose’ sake, You bring order.

Lord, that we would receive Your order and come into alignment with You…

For there is peace, joy, righteousness, freedom, love, hope, holiness, purpose, creativity, quality, development, opportunity, expansion, life, and growth in Your order.


The disciplines of the Lord bring order. We are His discipled ones. 

Jesus operated on this earth in the order of the Father.

We are to operate on this earth in the order of our Father.

GOD’S ORDER

⁶ As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in UNION WITH and conformity to Him. 

7 Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.  (Colossians 2:6-7) (AMP)

MAN’S ORDER

⁸ See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). (Colossians 2:8) (AMP)

WHY GOD’S ORDER

⁹ For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].

10 And you are in Him, made full an having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead--Father, Son and Holy Spirit--and REACH FULL SPIRITUAL STATURE]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power.] (Colossians 2:9-10) (AMP)

God’s ORDER.   God’s WISDOM.

So different than the world’s order and puffed-up knowledge.

His order from the inside ↦ out.

Re-forming us.

Transforming us into His likeness.

His reformation in the one ↦ His reformation to the whole.

--His order grows us up into His image…the perfection of Love.

--Father’s order is birthed out of Love (for He is Love), and brings the fulfillment of Love.

--The beautiful and perfect masterpiece that Father is building out of His order.

The dismantling of man’s order.

The “mantling” of God’s order.

    Mantle = a : a loose sleeveless garment worn over other clothes : CLOAK

                   b : a figurative cloak symbolizing preeminence or authority

The headship of the Lord Jesus Christ.  (Colossians 1:18)

Father’s order originates with and flows from the Head of His body to all its parts.

He is our Mantle. He is our Supreme Authority.

Clothe yourself in the Lord Jesus Christ.

God’s order being restored as the monuments to men fall.

Jesus being restored among and within His people.

A Divine reformation. A restructuring. A building of HIS holy habitation.


“We humble ourselves before You, Father God and Creator, and ask for hearts to receive and be clothed in the Mantle of Your Order, for Your purposes and to Your glory ~ Amen”
