PURSUIT...

Creator of all things, You have put a longing in our hearts. We sense the holy tugging of Your heart and Your desires that You have woven within our DNA.

                                                                                          The holy pursuit of You and Your ways are tangible among us. To pursue Your heart and what You are leading us into this year. We have felt the shift, yet again, that leads us out of the familiar and into Your design. Into Your purposes. Into New places of revelation, saturation, transformation, activation, and holy Habitation.

From glory to glory, You call us up, and we are not the same. In this Next circular revolution up in Your Whirlwind, we again have new eyes to see, new ears to hear, and new hearts that understand what You are saying and doing NOW.

It is the New for the Now, and we lean into You, Abba, with our whole being. Let us not rely on what we’ve known before, but let us rely and trust in You.

For You have invited us into more understandings and new dimensions in You that we have not known to this point. There is no going back. The pursuit is real, almost desperate, and it burns in our chests. For You are The Word of Life, Jesus…there is nowhere else to go and nothing that could ever compare.

So, as we tuck into You to hear, to see, to know, we lay all preconceived ideas and familiar ways and thought patterns at Your feet. We don’t hold onto what we’ve thought we’ve known…we hold onto You…and You will show us everything we need to know. You reveal Your heart to us…how can we ever express enough gratitude…You are SO kind…

We allow You to wash us of the old, even if the old was good but for an earlier time. We allow You to strip us of the bonds of pride, and we surrender fully to the working of the Spirit of Love.

Majesty, thank You for Your pursuit of us, and we respond with YES. To pursue You with all our hearts, our souls, our minds, our strength. To pursue You in our daily walk about. To pursue You in our families and relationships. To pursue You in stewardship of all you’ve placed in our hands.

Have Your way, Holy One…we surrender to You and Your perfect working. With great anticipation, and maybe even some internal trembling, we take that step in You and with You, through the narrow place into Your broad expanse.

To You be all glory and honor and praise our God and King…You alone are worthy! Holy, Holy, Holy…. Bless You, Lord, oh our souls, and all that is within us, bless Your Holy Name.
