The Hovering

As I was getting ready to travel to a region in our state the first weekend of August of this year, I heard the word “Hovering…”.  The scripture that Holy Spirit brought to me was Genesis 1:2. I have been drawn to the revelation of this scripture for several years now, but it was as though Holy Spirit was breathing on this word again, for this time we are in.  

I thought about the Spirit of God hovering over the face of the deep waiting, as it were, for the voice of the Creator to speak. The earth was without form, void, in chaos and darkness. Just imagine the indescribable force of creation exploding into being as the breath and movement of Holy Spirit came into union with the Word of God! Light! Life! Divine Order! Fullness!

In my spirit, I saw this hovering, this brooding of Holy Spirit over us and among us…waiting on the Word of Father…to move, explode, and create among us what only He can!

The prominent theme of what the Lord was showing me about this assignment, and other assignments for His people that are to follow, was the restoration of all things to Father’s original intent and eternal purpose. Lands, regions, cities, and people operating in His original design for them. Now that is Life! That is Love! That is what ONLY He can accomplish! Our part is to just say ”YES” to Him.

“Not by might, not by power, BUT BY MY SPIRIT says the Lord” (Zechariah 4:6) were the words that kept echoing in me. No man will be able to take credit, for this is His making, His movement.

This movement of His Spirit is among those who are submitted to the will of Father, waiting on Him and His voice. Their bread, their very sustenance, their absolute joy is to do the will of Him who has called them by name. It is not their own agendas, but their hearts are set on whatever HE desires to do among them, in them, and through them. They give precedence to Holy Spirit. They honor Jesus as King.

This company of people are truly surrendering their will to the will of the Father. They move forward with the intimacy and security that is found in the fear of the Lord, and in the depths of His love. They have no need to control or to compare. They operate as dearly loved children who are free just to “be”. They wear the cloak of humility and are fulfilled in Love. The bride is a transparent beauty with nothing to hide, nothing to fear, and her complete trust is in her Bridegroom. Even this beauty in His people that I speak of is the work of Holy Spirit. There is absolutely nothing we can do of ourselves. What HE started in us HE is faithful to complete, as we lend ourselves to Him.

Throughout the weekend that I mentioned above, this word about His "hovering" was confirmed again, and again. It felt as though a tidal wave was in motion. Without knowing what had transpired around this trip, a friend sent a link to me a couple of days after I returned home concerning a national word that was going out at the same time about ‘The Hovering’.

His movement is and will sweep the nations of the earth

 and the whole of His creation. 

Don’t you want to be swept up in the tide?!  
Riding on the crest of His wave?!  
Being one with Him in His every move?!  
Partaking of His divine nature?! 
Experiencing the fullness of Him?!  
Giving the fullness of Him…
           His life, His love, His wisdom, His hope at every turn?!  
Seeing creation delivered from the bondage of corruption 
          and brought into the glorious liberty of the children of God?!

The signs of the times are all around us. In the midst of great darkness, the glory light of Jesus Christ is shining. His Word is going out into all the earth, and the Spirit of God is on the move. So, let’s move with Him!

Let’s allow the Fire of God to eradicate our modes, methods, puffed-up knowledge, and fear, so we may open our hearts to engage with the perfect work of Holy Spirit. Father’s Word was the first word and is the final word. Jesus Christ is the Wisdom of God that laid the foundations. He will have HIS way whether we are aligned with Him or not. I don’t know about you, but I want to be fully in step with Him, in the beat of His heart.
